Buccaneers' safety Jackson suspended for the season

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Tanard Jackson has been suspended by the NFL for the duration of the 2010 season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

The Buccaneers rejuvenated defense suffered a big blow as it's free safety hole now has a big gaping hole. Jackson despite missing four games last season for violating the substance abuse policy still recorded five interceptions, returned two of them back for touchdowns and tallied 71 tackles.

General Manager Mark Dominik told local media"Obviously, it's frustrating and disappointing for everybody."

Last year Jackson said "I definitely felt I let my team down, I disappointed myself, but your actions affect others around you, and that's one thing that hit home."

Maybe this time it will hit his head and he can remain clean in future seasons, if he still remains employed by the Buccanners next season.
