Who I got: Green Bay. Even though I thought the Bills were going to get slammed last week, they probably will this week against one of the most hyped teams of the offseason.
Behind Rodgers cannon of an arm and Buffalo's not so great offense, the Packers will not neccessarily pile up the points, but if they put some numbers up quick, don't expect the Bills to get back into the game with a-hem... Trent Edwards.
Green Bay wins, 31-17.
MIAMI at MINNESOTA
Who I got: Minnesota. I never quite get the hype that the Miami Dolphins have around Chad Henne, at least Bill Parcells agrees with me.
Minnesota didn't really show me anything against the New Orleans defense last week, but I still have them to beat the Miami Dolphins, I think both teams are over-rated, but moreso Miami, simply because the Vikings have the better team, It could go either way, but I think the Vikings will get their season rollin' with a win tomorrow.
Minnesota wins, 21-14
KANSAS CITY at CLEVELAND
Who I got: Kansas City. I'm not ready to ride the bus with the Kansas City Chiefs just yet, the Chargers are always over-rated, and constantly perform poor at the beginning of each season, it's kinda traditional for them to start 5-7 in september. Record is from the 2007-2010 september month season.
Putting that aside, I do think the Chiefs will start 2-0, both are not the best of teams, both had top 10 draft picks the last few years, both are now currently rebuilding, but the Chiefs have the better roster, who knows they could clinch the AFC West for the first time in about 8 seasons, but there going to have to beat better teams than Cleveland to show me that they can do that.
Kansas City wins, 17-12.
CHICAGO at DALLAS
Who I got: Dallas. I'm someone that never rides the "Dallas are super bowl favorites each year" story at the beginning of either the pre or regular season.
Dallas didn't have a good game last week, even if there was a controversial holding call, the Cowboys should of at least won by a 2 score game, I'm expecting them to whoop the Bears who were also involved with a last second controversial call last weekend.
Dallas wins, 24-16.
ARIZONA at ATLANTA
Who I got: Atlanta. Let's just face it, the Arizona Cardinals are going to have a piss poor season despite edging out the lowly St. Louis Rams 17-13. Winning by just a 4 point margain against a team that went just 1-15 last year is not a good sign.
Throw in the departures of Kurt Warner, Anquan Boldin and Antrel Rolle and you have got yourself a situation.
I'm expecting the Falcons to at least get the ground game going, they couldn't against a strong defensive effort by Pittsburgh, but against the Cardinals, it shouldn't be a big problem, more like a situation.
Atlanta wins, 27-13.
TAMPA BAY at CAROLINA
Who I got: Carolina. Both teams looked poor last week, throw in some concussions and poor defenses, expect the Panthers to pound the rock and DeAngelo to pile up a whole lot of yardage.
I don't think Matt Moore will be a great quarterback in the NFL, He had his five game fame, now they are just waiting anxiously for the development of quarterback Jimmy Clausen. Despite no real good quarterback, the Panthers will win with their elite run game.
Carolina wins, 17-10.
PHILADELPHIA at DETROIT
Who I got: Philadelphia. Had Kevin Kolb not been owned against the Packers, I would of been tempted to have picked Detroit for the upset. But luckily for Philadelphia they have Michael Vick who looked like his old-self.
The Lions will struggle to contain Vick who looked good last week, he also looked far more accurate than before his prison stint. It could be a long week for the Lions if they don't fend of Michael Vick's vicious attacks. (p.s. side note: I have that dog breed, it's a rhodesian ridgeback, #justsayin')
Philadelphia wins, 29-19.
BALTIMORE at CINCINNATI
Who I got: Cincinnati. Despite the Bengals bungling a opportunity to send a message out to the rest of the NFL that they are for real, for a second season, they showcased a pile of shit that nobody wanted to see. A shorter, less complex and criminal answer: They got their asses whooped!
The Ravens to my mind, did not look good either despite picking up the win. Their offense struggled to finish drives against the Jets (yes they have good defense, but with that offense, no more excuses.)
What do I think the Bengals will do this game? They're going to come out and give it their all, only 13% of teams from the past couple of years have reached the playoffs are a 0-2 start. That's not a good number, I like the Bengals chances, simply because they will need and want to win.
Cincinnati wins, 17-14.
PITTSBURGH at TENNESSEE
Who I got: Tennessee. Probably one of the most anticipating games of the early season. Riddle me this: Will CJ get his 13th consecutive 100 yard run game (14 is the record) against a team that rarely gives up a 100 yard rusher? Will the Steelers defense stay true to their 2008 form (one of the best in history) and stop Chris Johnson and send the the Steelers home with a 2-0 record?
Those answers will be answered in just over 28 hours time. I'm going with a Tennessee win based off defensive turnovers, but Chris Johnson won't get his 100 yard run game.
Tennessee wins, 14-13.
SEATTLE at DENVER
Who I got: Seattle. I don't think any of these teams are good, infact I think both teams again will have a top 10 pick, and figure me this, Seattle will make the playoffs even though they would of had a top 10 pick based of their regular season record.
The Denver Broncos, they looked good last year until good teams kicked their asses (Baltimore, Pittsburgh) consecutively and from there they went downhill. The Seahawks will win this from Kyle Orton errors.
Seattle wins, 18-15.
ST. LOUIS at OAKLAND
Who I got: Oakland. Is there a more boring game this weekend than this putrid match-up? I don't think so, I don't even know what to say.
Steven Jackson will probably have a good game, as will... Exactly. I can't think of anybody else that could put on a show, both teams are boring, apart from the aforementioned player.
Oakland wins, 21-7.
HOUSTON at WASHINGTON
Who I got: Houston. If their was ever a better game I have watched the Colts lose, it can't of come much better last week when Arian Foster ran all over that shitty Colts defense.
Oh wait... it comes closely behind Super Bowl XLIV & a few other blow-outs that got a coach crying. If without Donovan McNabb (Redskins, QUESTIONABLE???) and a weak secondary, look for Matt Schaub to have a great day.
Houston wins, 28-14.
NEW ENGLAND at NEW YORK
Who I got: New England. All this bravado talk, all this talk about how great this team was, it finally was silenced when their offense put on a shitty-ass showing against a Baltimore defense that was without half of it's secondary.
Great way to send a message out to the league about how your going to dominate the season and win the Super Bowl (which is less than five months away.) Go fuck yourself Rex, Tom Terrific and those cheatin' Patriots are comin' to town and are going to brush you aside.
Really, that is what's going to happen. New England's offense has just too much firepower for the New York defense to handle.
New England wins, 31-13.
JACKSONVILLE at SAN DIEGO
Who I got: San Diego. A few words... B-O-R-I-N-G. Will anybody actually watch this game. The Chargers' unruly such loyal fans have hopped onto the Texans' wagon, nobody watches the Jaguars anyway.
Despite looking quite dull against the Chiefs, I expect Phillip Rivers to come back and get the win, it wasn't his fault that his cry-baby antics were on national television when they had an embarrasing loss to the Chiefs. But his arm and skill will make up for his tears.
San Diego wins, 27-20.
NEW YORK at INDIANAPOLIS
Who I got: Indianapolis. HA HA HA, that's exactly what I loved about last weekend. The Colts lost. Hater in the building, not really, I'd like to call myself more of a realist.
It's about time someone tried to oppose and dethrone the Colts from atop of the division. That day might come, this will be an all-out attack in the Manning Bowl, V.2.
Expect both Eli and Peyton to have bigger games, more expected from the latter, but that's what you get for being the G.O.A.T.
NEW ORLEANS at SAN FRANCISCO
Who I got: NAWLIN'S. New Orleans looked like a complete team from last week's win over the Vikings. Their defense looked good, their offense, not really, but you can tell they will be good over the due course of the season.
San Francisco showed me nothing last week, they couldn't get into the endzone, they could of been 21-0 up so so early, but due to Alex Smith, who is at the helms of quarterback... they failed miserably. I don't expect the 49ers to win this game, they missed out on a 1-0 start. They will now have to wait until next week to get their first win of the season.
New Orleans, 24-10.
